Soiled doves of Old West lore, are a part of Gold Rush history. A visit to Dowineville California will take you back to 1849, a time of gold mining, historic buildings, and streets that were filled with men, and women who came West to find their fortune, mining for gold in the two local rivers and as "ladies of the night". Soiled Doves Parlour is reminiscent of those days. Period and bustle skirt costumes, ladie's and men's hats, unique botanical bath and body care products of ol are personally handcrafted and sold. A Step-back-in-time, the Parlour is located in Downieville on the historic CA Hwy 49 in the Sierra Mts.
